Talas, Jan. 12, 2018 / Kabar /. “We must remember Chyngyz Aitmatov and glorify him all over the world”, Prime Minister Sapar Isakov told speaking at the opening of jubilee celebration of the 90th anniversary of the great writer in Sheker village of Talas region. Isakov said that Chyngyz Aitmatov glorified Kyrgyzstan to the whole world.
"This year Aitmatov would have turned 90 years old. He gave a new philosophy to the world. As a representative of the younger generation, I am proud to say that I was born in Kyrgyzstan, in the country where Chyngyz Aitmatov lived. We must always remember his works. Not only people of Central Asia read Aitmatov’s books, but the whole world reads him. I often visit different countries. When they ask me where I came from, I say I am from Kyrgyzstan, they immediately remember Aitmatov," the Head of Government said.
Isakov stressed that two days ago he signed a decree, according to which 15 hectares of land will be transformed in the village of Sheker for the construction of the center Aitmatov-Ordo.
"The government is working out a program in honor of the 90th anniversary of the great writer. The events related to Aitmatov will take place not only in Kyrgyzstan, but also in CIS and Turkic-speaking countries. International Organization of Turkic Culture (IOTC) also declared 2018 as the year of Chyngyz Aitmatov. This is a great pride for us," he added.
Sapar Isakov said that the museum of Aitmatov in the village of Sheker will be repaired at the expense of the government’s budget.
