Health Minister Talantbek Batyraliyev met with Professor Toshihiro Nakajima of the Tokyo Medical University, member of the board of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund Aimen Kasenov and president of the Kyrgyz-Japanese Business Council Rysbek Moldogaziev, who presented to the minister a draft of the new Kyrgyz-Japanese Rehabilitation Center, which will be built in the Kyrgyz capital.
According to the information of the press service of the Ministry of Health, the rehabilitation center is designed for 256 beds.
According to the representative of the Fund, the proposal to build a rehabilitation center jointly with Japanese colleagues was submitted to the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund two years ago. This center is designed for rehabilitation of patients after strokes, heart and joint operations, and to organize care for elderly sick people who are not able to take care of themselves on their own.
"The project is scheduled to be started in 2018. According to preliminary calculations, its cost will be about $ 10 million. The Japanese side is ready to provide specialists in the field of rehabilitation and to share technologies in this direction, and also will help equip the center with equipment that meets modern requirements and provide Kyrgyz specialists with the opportunity to upgrade their skills in Japan," Kasenov said.
