Kyrgyz Foreign Minister participates in UN Security Council briefing

Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldayev took part in New York in the UN Security Council briefing (high-level thematic debate) "Non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction: confidence-building measures,” the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the briefing, the UN Secretary General António Guterres presented a report, followed by speeches of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and representatives of the UN Security Council member states. In particular, an exchange of views took place on measures that the UN Security Council and member states can take to help and facilitate a political settlement of weapons of mass destruction-related crises, or to ensure that the United Nations member countries take action to implement confidence-building measures and transparency in the field of non-proliferation.
